International joke day

International joke day is on the 1st of July. It was designed as to start the second half of the year with a smile or a chuckle. It has been created back in 1994 by an american author who wants to sell his jokes books. They say that the idea seems to have caught on and now people have shared jokes, stories, riddles or poems and even funny videos every year online.

I learned that there is a international joke day.
I enjoyed learning about international joke day and how it was invented

Wetapunga are insects and endangered, but auckland zoo are breading them. there are more then 70 species of weta. there over 50 species of cave weta.

Weta have antenna that is longer than its body it is so they can feel there they are going and where there food are. When weta come out of there egg they can be the size of a grain of rice. weta look like a big strong grasshopper or crickets with long antennae.

you can find them in forest, caves, under stones, logs, and in trees. you can find them in hieing spots that is because they don't want to be eaten by other animals. Now there are four island that only have weta and insect for the weta to eat.

Weta can break into three parts. Giant weta can grow up to 28 gms in weight and about 60mm long. wetapunga have long legs and can help them climb trees for safety. Nelson alpine weta is a very shy weta which hides in burrows during the day and comes out to feed at night.

Camping is the most magnificent outdoor activity

Camping is the most magnificent outdoor activity

Have you ever wanted to go camping? it is without a doubt that camping is a magnificent outdoor activity because you can meet new friends, do lots of activities and escape technology. I strong belief you should go camping this summer so you can enjoy the peace and relax.

Firstly, If you go camping you will probably make a new friend from a different part of New Zealand. If there was a playground or swing me and my friend would push each other on it or we would play tag.

Secondly you can do a lot of things like swimming in a river or beach, toasting marshmallows at night, playing board games and going on bush walks and seeing the beautiful landscapes.

Lastly if you go camping you will have no wifi so no phones no computers. There will be no power or there may be a little bit of signal but not much. You just go but in the old day when there was no power.

It is without a doubt that camping is a magnificent outdoor activity because you can meet new friends, do lots of activities and escape technology.

this week we were making our speeches.

I found it difficult to think what would make senses.

Red kangaroos

Red Kangaroos

The Red kangaroo family name is macropods. That means a large foot because they have a large foot. Red kangaroos are very common they can weigh up to 90kg as an adult, that is like the weight of a tortoise that has lived for years. Red kangaroo attacks are rare but they can be extremely dangerous because they can rip you. There are 11,514,298 red kangaroos but every year about 3 million are killed for meat. There is also their skin for clothes and things that we might use every day.The red kangaroos have very powerful legs they use for fighting and lots or other things like going fast when going to parts they also have very solid tails that help them when they are going faster than they are with their legs l. Male red kangaroo is a reddish-brown and has a long tail. Female red kangaroos are smaller with blue-gray with a brown tinge and a strong tail for fighting things

They live in the across central Australia in the open grassland. They also live in open forest, woodlands and deserts. But they are mostly found in groups of about 5-10 and they are called mobs.

Kangaroos use their 2 legs for just walking and their legs and there tail too for going really fast. Kangaroo comes from australian aboriginal word  meaning i don't know this is in fact untrue, the word was first recorded in 1770 by captain james cook, when he landed in the northeast coast or Australia. Kangaroo’s are very fascinating animals. It is hard believe life that people kill them just for there meat and for things they don't really need.
