Financal Literacy

This week for math we were learning about financial literacy. A man named Callum came from ASB Get Wi$e . On the first day he came in he talked to us about what cash means. The c means clear the a means action, s means save and h means how long. We had to write cash down the side of the page then we had to think of what we are going to save up for and how much was it and how we can get that money for the thing we wanted to save up to, I am saving up to a gocart. It is $400. I am going to sell avocados and I will have to sell up to 8 per a week to get $15 a week. I think it might take me about 2 mouths. 

On the second day Callum talked to us about what we could do for a business. We could work in teams. Seddon and I did it together. On the side of our page we wrote sss which means strengths, solve, start. Seddon's and my strengths were baking, art, talking to people. Our solve were avocados, selling baking and art and our start were selling baking and selling avocados. We had to write things that would help us start our business like where, when, need, For  where we said we will sell it at the Farms Markets and right across the road from Girls High. When was in the weekends. It will be 12:30pm - 3:30pm and sometimes on the weekdays 4:00pm - 5:30pm. We will need avocados that we will get from my tree and we will get baking stuff from the supermarket. Our work is down below.  

 

Matariki

 This week I have been learning compare and contrast.
I found it challenging to think of thing to but on the slide I did it with me reading group you can vist there blogs here Seddon, Kail, Charlie, Jake and Cameron.
My digital learning object show that I can use google slides.
Next time I will change the background and the colour of the words.

Student-Led Conference

This week I was learning how to shape texts for different purpose and audiences.
I enjoyed writing my invitation to my parents and making my avatar on avatar maker.

Firstly, we had to make our avatar then claim our slide. Our slide was for writing our invitation on.

We had to make sure we included who it is to, what it is for, the dates and times of the Student-Led Confrences I have written instructions on how to book time, I have asked them to come to the celebration again, I have written who it is from.   

I found it hard to make the avatar look like me.

How Does Bees Balling work?

 This week I was learning how to use a diagram in my explanation writing, My success criteria was to use a diagram, label my  diagram and explain my diagram.
I found it challenging to make it make sense and to make a diagram that made sense.
My digital learning object shows that I can use Canva.
Next time I will change my topic and try challenge myself by being more faster.

Perseus

This week I was learning to infer. Inferring means the story has the clues but not the answer. Our task this week was to create a character profile on Perseus, Perseus is from the story we were reading called Medusa- the Quest of Perseus. Below is what my group came up with. 

Next time I will change the colour of the background and and the word colour to some more seeable.
I enjoyed reading Perseus and learning what he did.
I found it hard to think of a background colour that would stand out the colors.

Samoa Activities

 This week is Samoa language week and we had to do a slide about it we had to read the text before and then complete change after it.
I found it challenge to do the history of Samoa  to mach what it was.

Snowman

Yesterday I Tuesday to make my own piskel.
I found it challenging to make my snowman look like a normal snowman. I also found it hard to make it a good circle  and find the colours to make it look more real, I had to restart because i forgot to save it so when you try make sure you save it.
My digital learning object shows that I can use Piskel.
Next time I would change to something more easier than a snowman.
